Panasonic RF B65 shortwave. Status Not open for further replies. ChristopherJensen Member Premium Subscriber. I bought this about 20 years ago to carry during Desert Storm. It has worked great. Until now. The batteries are good but it flashes "E" when I turn it on. The owner's manual was lost and I haven't been able to find one on line. Panasonic "support" says they don't handle stuff that old.

There was one mention on line about a reset feature but I sure can't find one. Any thoughts? K7MEM Member. Joined Dec 16, Messages Location W.

A service manual is available at the following link. Did you replace all of the batteries? There is a 3 Volt battery that is backup for computer and clock. Sometimes when these go dead, they can be recharged by leaving the unit on for a while, and then doing a reset. Otherwise, you could just replace the backup battery.
